I am so proud of this baby you have no idea! Today he turned five years old..I can't believe it. This year he started speaking. That's right...this boy who I thought would never speak can say quite a few things now and SING!! ..just tonight he was singing, "I like to move it move it".. from the movie Madagascar. Those of you who have a child with Autism who doesn't speak will truly understand how thrilled we are.:)

And..since I know someone will ask, his cute little shirt came from www.paperlili.com. Softest TShirt ever!

It's Turkey weekend and we not only had a turkey come and visit but also a Snowman! Little R just can't seem to get enough of this snow..

That was today.. green leaves.. some gold and red leaves, then it snowed. R spent the morning with his nose stuck to the window watching it fall. He barely remembers snow from when he was little so now he's absolutely facinated by it. We took him for a walk through the woods.. he loved it. Little G was busy screaming at the top of his lungs just because we insisted he wear a coat... so no pictures of him. He ended up leaving early with his Daddy. :(

Check out these beautiful glass Christmas ornaments from Beadoozle. For the photographers out there they make great client gifts!! Or great gifts for your own family.
Aside from the fact they are beautiful..you can slide the pictures in and out. That means next year you can replace it with a new picture. I actually leave my little ornaments up all year in one of my windows..to me they look like jolly ranchers and I just love them.

Okay..so I have little G in the stroller.. strolling along. Just him and I. He wants my pop. I hand it to him and decide to take his picture while he's still. Then we hear this scream..he turns his head and I just about drop my camera as this peacock comes running at us. It's feathers are out and my goodness was it screaming! It did stay a few feet away.

And then...we seen this little mad guy!

LOL.. but isn't it beautiful. Little G is addicted to car rides and we found this on one of them. I ripped him out of his car seat and demanded he and C pose for a test shot. I found it a few weeks ago before we left for holidays. I spoke to Mr. Farmer and he says it will be like this for wee longer. I Hired A Photographer

I hired Dixie Dobbins to take C's pictures. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what she came up with. Not only did she rock C's session, but she took time out to teach me!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate what she taught me in one day! We had so much fun!! ...and I'm so envious of her studio and set ups!

I know I've announced this already but I can't take any more new clients from the Wichita Falls, TX area.. I'm telling you, Dixie is awesome!! Just saying.. :)

Isn't the baby gorgeous!! More to come. I'm leaving for summer holidays so I'll post them when I get back.

I can NO longer take any more NEW clients from the Wichita Falls area. I'm grateful for how popular Digi Kidz has become, but unfortunately, we just can't keep up.

The good news is, Wichita Falls has two photographers who I KNOW do a great job. I'm often asked who I'd hire. I'd hire only the best.. and price has nothing to do with it. It's based on their portfolio. Being a photographer, I'm REALLY, REALLY picky. Lets face it, I can see the technical flaws that most of you will not ever see. I could go on and on here about how important it is that you choose a good photographer. :) Do I know these two..nope, never met them in person. BUT, I'm hoping to meet with both soon.. I want them to photograph my kids!! Both are extremely talented and I love both of their work equally!!

They have Autism. They are NOT "Autistic"

There is a difference between those words. I know most of you who are reading this are thinking they are the same. They are not. One describes the disorder..and one is nothing more than a label. When you say my children are Autistic.. you are labeling them, and focusing on what they can't do instead of describing all that is so great about them. Both are loving and affectionate and have amazing abilities.. I could go on and on about how smart they are. The Autistic label automatically puts a stamp on their forehead that reads, "Broken." When something is broken, it is discarded.. and thrown away. Any child with Autism (or any other disability) has potential and purpose. When Ryland and Grayson were first diagnosed, I remember my DH and I saying it didn't change how much we love them or how great we already knew they were. What I didn't realize at the time is how differently the world would view them just because of their diagnosis. They are a child first, who has a disability. Their disabilities do NOT define who they are. I had one therapist actually tell me that there was no point in teaching Grayson how to drink out of a cup, because; " He is Autistic and he's never going to learn it. " Today, Grayson can pour his own drink, use a cup and feed himself among other things. That therapist was so busy reading the label that she stuck to his forehead, that she gave up on him.. and that is a shame. She missed out on knowing Grayson, the silly little boy with the huge imagination who loves to drink orange juice from a monkey cup. I know that most people who refer to them, as "Autistic" don't realize what they are really saying. To change people's attitudes will take years. Awareness is key. So now you know. :)

Watch for Grayson's Tea Party pictures (coming soon).. Take note of his little monkey cup. :)
